Summary
When we are babies, we have guardian angels, but as we get older we lose the ability to see them. But that doesn't mean they've stopped fighting for us. Where there are angels, there are demons battling them for our souls, they lose most of the time, but when they win, the angel ends up either stripped of their wings or worse, a demon, and their child ends up dead.
Dawn is lucky, her guardian angel was able to save her from the darkness. When Dawn was born, she was marked by Death, a being who is nor demon or angel. He walks around coveting souls that are dying or souls that will in time, weaken before they are destined to. Dawn was one of those souls and Death saw that, he also saw something in her eyes that made him want to take her as his wife, so he Marked her.
Being Marked, Dawn is able to walk between the realms of life and death, moving souls to their right dimensions until the day comes when Death can take her...and if she doesn't find the way to break the spell that binds her to him...then that day might come sooner than she thought it would.
Unless her Guardian Angel can break from the shadows it's been bound to...
